Staci Porter-Bentley is a native of Denver Colorado. She graduated from Machbeuf Catholic High School in 1987. Staci attended Regis University from 1987-1991 where she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communications and a minor in Education. She later earned her Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Staci began her teaching career with Denver Public Schools in 1993. She has served as an elementary school teacher for 9 years with the Denver Public Schools and the Beaverton, Oregon Public School district. She also served as an assistant principal for 5 years, with Denver Public Schools.
Staci began working along side her father (Lonnie Porter) 12 years ago when they began the Lonnie Porter Summer Academy. The Academy served 22 students that year. Over the past 11 years, Staci has worked diligently as the director, to select students to attend the Academy who are academically high achieving leaders in their schools and communities.
It is her hope to help her father carry out his dream and to see all of the now Porter-Billups Leadership Academy students attend and graduate from college.
Staci enjoys family time with her husband Peter and son Jack (11 months old). Staci and Peter also enjoy travel to warm destinations in South America and the Caribbean.
